Bertrand FILLON is currently the European VP of CEA/LITEN for new energy technologies (batteries, photovoltaic cells & modules, fuel cells,…), and materials & technologies for new energy applications. He defines, organizes and follows CEA/LITEN international project portfolio. He is the scientific president of the French polymer cluster “Plastipolis”. He is the vice chairman of the EMERI steering committee (industrial association for material for energy applications). He is in the scientific committee of the OeA (Organic and printed Electronics Association). He is also involved in the board of Nanofuture the European platform on nanotechnologies and different expert groups at international and national levels.

Between 1990-2003, he worked in industry for Pechiney Packaging. For the Pechiney Group, he was the coordinator of the Global Packaging R&D activities between the four business units (flexible packaging, bottles, tubes, high tech. cosmetics). He was the leader of the Pechiney polymer expert group. Dr Fillon was the Pechiney representative in IRI (Industrial Research Institute). Prior to joining Pechiney, Dr Fillon worked in Orkem as a research engineer of polymer extrusion. He has a number of technical publications, books co-author and also patents in the field of packaging, extrusion, injection and printing processes.
